This is the XRAY X10 2015 Spec 1/10 GT Pan Car. In a world where overly-complicated designs can sometimes hinder rather than enhance, the X10 stands alone as the best performing out-of-the-box 1/10 GT class racer. The X10 1/10 GT pancar is based on XRAY&rsquos European Championship-winning X12 pancar. Sharing many high-performance parts with its smaller cousin, the X10 has all the finest details incorporated into it to achieve a state of perfection. XRAY focused its efforts on refining all of the already well-thought-out parts and assemblies to make the 2015 X10 easy to drive, work on, and adjust.
2015 Features:
Chassis: The narrower chassis was redesigned for improved steering response and overall traction on all track surfaces. The narrow chassis has more torsional stability which results in increased grip, while at the same time eliminates the scrub effect in high-speed corners. With the narrower chassis, the car handles bumps much better as well. The chassis is dramatically narrowed in the rear area to allow composite pod links to move maximally to the center for better steering response and improved side-to-side weight transition. Battery slots were removed and battery placement was modified to allow the fitting of both standard and shorty LiPo batteries. The CNC-machined chassis is custom-manufactured from stiffer 2.5mm high-grade graphite material with a specially-designed compound for carpet racing.
Battery Placement: Battery placement position in the chassis has a significant influence on weight balance adjustment. Since LiPo batteries now replace older NiMH batteries, the under-chassis grooves have been removed. The chassis has been designed to use either standard-sized or short LiPo batteries shorter LiPo batteries may be put in either a forward or rearward position, and secured by composite battery holders.
Rear Pod: The narrower chassis with narrow rear pod design allows the composite rear pod links to be placed more centrally, resulting in increased steering response and improved side-to-side weight transition. The compact and ultra-lightweight rear pod is constructed from high-strength aluminum bulkheads, a rear aluminum brace, and thin but strong high-grade graphite plates. The smart pod design allows for super-easy motor top access, accommodating all motors. Eccentric composite bushings are included for ultra-fine rear ride height adjustment.
Side Tubes: Lateral damper side tubes replace the side shock for smoother and more consistent operation. The lateral damping side tubes provide ultra-smooth side damping, making the car easier to drive and easier to work on. The outer aluminum tube and inner DelrinŽ tube operate ultra-smoothly.
Side Springs: Side springs are placed directly on the chassis for smooth and precise movement.
Pod Upper Plate: The rear pod upper plate has been designed to accommodate the lateral damper side tubes.
Rear Link Brace: The rear graphite brace has a reinforced design for increased durability and more resistance to tweak. With this design, the side springs are placed directly on the pod graphite plate (instead of side links) for better and more consistent damping. The graphite brace has been redesigned to accommodate the lateral damper side tubes, and also the aluminum stands have been lowered to allow for a lowered graphite brace for more steering.
Track-Width Adjustment: The front suspension has been completely redesigned and improved. The lower suspension arms feature smart eccentric aluminum inserts which allow quick & easy changing and setting of track-width depending on track conditions. Optional aluminum 0.5mm and 1.0mm eccentrics are used to set wider or narrower track-width.
Ride Height Shims: The front suspension uses ride height adjustment shims which enable very quick, precise and hassle-free ride height adjustment for various track conditions. The set of 0.2, 0.4, and 0.6mm ride height adjustment shims are included for fine tuning.
Hard Front Suspension Material: Front lower arms are made from a harder material to make the car easier to drive and give smoother steering. Optional upper arms, steering blocks and front upper arm mounts are also available, made from a harder material.
Servo Saver: 4-spring servo saver gives more precise steering, making the car easier to drive while handling more consistently. The tiny yet robust servo saver protects the servo from impact damage. Easy Ackermann adjustment is made via shims mounted below steering block pivot balls.
Kingpin Ball: Composite front lower pivot balls replace the original steel balls, allowing the front suspension to work more smoothly.
