This model kit recreates the Nissan Leopard 2-Door Hardtop 280X-SFL. It’s an updated re-issue from Tamiya’s back catalog with updated decals and instruction manual.
The original kit featured motorization, and the 2026 re-issue is a standalone display model kit.
About the Nissan Leopard
In September 1980, Nissan introduced the Leopard, and the 280X SF-L was the top grade in the Leopard line-up.
The 2-door hardtop body featured flush joints which were employed between windows and body panels.
A 2,800cc inline-6 DOHC engine was capable of 145hp. Its luxurious interior had leather seats and technological advancements such as a drive-computer, which received plenty of attention at the time. This car is known as a pioneer of Japanese personal luxury cars.
