About the Spencer Rivkin SG3 HV Shorty-Sized LiPo Battery
Pro Level Racing Design
The ProTek R/C Spencer Rivkin 2S 150C Low IR Si-Graphene + HV ULCG Shorty LiPo Battery is a premium-grade power source designed for competitive 1/10th scale racers. Designed in collaboration with Team Associated driver Spencer Rivkin, this high-performance 7.6V 4900mAh shorty pack delivers elite-level power and consistency for serious racers. The case is equipped with a specialized pocket on the bottom for adding optional battery weights, allowing precise chassis balance tuning to improve rotation, stability, and control. The pocket also lets the battery weights sit flush against the battery, keeping them concealed for a clean, professional look. Whether you're running a 2WD or 4WD modified buggy or competing in stock class, this ROAR-approved battery provides the punch, runtime, and reliability needed for top-level performance on clay, dirt, and high-traction tracks.
Compact Balanced Performance
This battery features a 150C peak discharge rating, delivering explosive acceleration and sustained voltage through your entire run. Its ultra-low center of gravity shorty configuration improves chassis balance while maximizing space efficiency, and its lighter weight — typically 10–18% less than standard 6000–6800mAh shorty packs — enhances handling, rotation, and responsiveness on technical off-road layouts. Outfitted with five-millimeter bullet connectors for optimal current flow and minimal resistance, this pack is engineered for racers who demand precision and control.

IMPORTANT LITHIUM POLYMER SAFETY INFORMATION
- DO NOT leave a battery in your model when charging
- DO NOT leave lithium batteries unattended when charging
- ALWAYS balance charge lithium battery
- ALWAYS use a LiPo Safe charging bag/box
- YOU MUST use a Li-Poly specific charger to charge lithium batteries (NiMH or NiCD only chargers WILL NOT WORK!)
- YOU MUST not over discharge lithium battery packs
- READ & UNDERSTAND the instructions carefully before operating this battery
NOTE: When using high energy Li-Polymer Batteries, please do not over-discharge or over-charge batteries as this will result in overheated batteries. Discharging capacity can't exceed 80% of the max capacity of the pack after full charging to ensure a good cycle performance. It is recommended to fully charge a brand new battery before using and only discharge the battery 50% for the first 5 cycles. Always monitor race time and/or set a low voltage warning on ESC (End voltage cannot be lower than 3.2v per cell). Do not use a battery that has too low a voltage. Do not expose batteries to sunshine or store/charge batteries at temperatures above 35°C or in a closed car. The high-temperature environment could cause damage to the pack or make it burst. If the battery becomes hot while fast charging, high current discharging, or racing, do not charge it until it has cooled completely. Wait about 20 mins, then inspect prior to recharging.
