With the introduction of Lipo batteries, touring car chassis can now be designed with near equal amount of flex on both sides. Back when Sub C cells were the norm, the battery side of the chassis had to have battery slots cut into them to hold the battery pack in place and to keep CG to its lowest.

This cause the battery side of the chassis to be significantly softer than the motor side of the chassis resulting in a inherent flex imbalance.

With Lipo batteries, battery slots are no longer necessary and thus we sort to develop the chassis with the perfect flex balance on both sides.
Through extensive testing we ended up with a narrow 2.25mm high grade woven graphite main chassis that has proven to provide the right amount of flex and rigidity and one that'd achieve the purpose of providing equal left and right flex resulting in more consistent handling under most low to medium high traction conditions.
